Welsh Journals Online at the National Library of Wales

Over the last few years, the National Library of Wales (NLW) has been scanning its collection of 19th - 21st century scholarly journals and have been gradually putting them online.

Eventually, full runs of over 50 journals will be posted on the Web.  So far,  just over half of them have been posted.

The Montgomeryshire Collections, published annually by the Powysland Club since 1879, is just one of those journals now online.  According to the NLW website, the Montgomeryshire Collections will be released online in three sections.  The publication details are as follows:

Collections Historical & Archaeological relating to Montgomeryshire, latterly Montgomeryshire collections, is an annual English-language journal containing scholarly articles on archaeological and historical topics, book reviews, and society notes. For digitisation, the publication has been split into three sequences: Vol 1. (1868)-Vol. 31 (1900) (entitled Collections Historical & Archaeological relating to Montgomeryshire); Vol. 32 (1902)-Vol. 47 (1942) (entitled Collections historical & archaeological relating to Montgomeryshire and its borders); and Vol. 48 (1943)-present (entitled Montgomeryshire collections : relating to Montgomeryshire and its borders).

Currently, only the second sequence - Vol. 32 (1902)-Vol. 47 (1942) - are available so far.  However, many earlier version are available at Google Books and Archive.org.
