Kinseys et al. in the 1916 Canadian Census: An Update
Good news has come.
Last month, Ancestry.ca released an index to the 1916 Canadian Census. Not only have they fully indexed the census but also there are links to high-quality images of each census page. It should be noted that thankfully there has been a marked increase in the quality of the census images at Ancestry.com.
In a previous blog entry, we mentioned that an index had been published on the net on the Family Search Pilot site in January. Unfortunately, the index was withdrawn a few days later.
The Ancestry.ca index of the 1916 Census was made public on 25 February 2009.
While there is not a great number of family members found in this census, we have found the following:

Emma McPherson f/33y/single/roomer
Wilmott is shown living with his second wife, Jessie, soon after the passing of his first spouse, Anne Elizabeth Kinsey, in 1900.

Alice Kinsey f/32y/married/wife (immigrated to Canada in 1906)

Calvin Wilson Kinsey was born soon after the census in 1916 and was soon after given up for adoption to the Franks family. The Kinseys were said to be quite destitute at the time.
