Kinsey, Beulah A. (Boo): passed away at Moog & Friends Hospice House surrounded by family on July 10, 2005 at the age of 73. Born in Saskatchewan on July 29, 1931, Beulah soon moved to BC with her adoptive parents. They lived in Penticton in the mid-1930's with her siblings; Eunice, Geraldine and Delbert until moving to New Westminster where she finished her schooling. As an independent young woman, she moved back to Penticton and married Herbert (Bert) Kinsey on October 16, 1954. While diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in her early twenties, she was resilient and positive raising three children; Katherine (Dewey), John (Lynn) and Doug, while also contributing greatly to the community through the Sororptimists, the MS Society, numerous charities, and helping adoptees find information about their biological parents. In her own search she was successful in 1996 in finding and reconnecting with six of her biological family, the Hensruds. This gave great pleasure to Beulah, as did participating in the lives of her own three grandchildren: Robyn, Megan and Jeff. In her later years, Beulah lived with her husband in Summerland at Angus Place. She greatly enjoyed her friends that she made there. Described by many as a ray of sunshine and a positive spirit. She will be lovingly remembered by family and friends. The family would like to thank Home Support, IODE, MS Society and many others that enabled Mom to enjoy her later years at home. Your support & kindness was much appreciated and will be fondly remembered. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Beulah's life on 11:00 am Friday, July 15, 2005 at Penticton Legion, 502 Martin St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the MS Society of BC, or the Parkdale Housing Society Tenant's Association, Angus Place.
